Hi. I’m a 2006 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. I grew up in the Baltimore area. After college in Atlanta and an internship at Turpentine Creek, I moved to the UK in 2001 to pursue my veterinary degree. Married to Lisa in 2004, I’m happy to be back in my hometown.
I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and watching the Ravens. I’m frequently out and about in the local parks with the kids and dogs. I try to live an active lifestyle and enjoy each and every day. I look forward to being your neighborhood vet.
Hello. I am a 1996 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I moved to Baltimore after graduation and practiced in the Baltimore area for the first six years of my career before moving to London, England in 2001. While in the UK, I worked with the RSPCA and did extensive work in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. I moved back to Baltimore in 2006 and settled in Catonsville with my husband and son.
I am a mommy of two kids, two dogs and three cats. I enjoy reading, running, and watching college and professional football. Caring for animals and the people that love them is truly a calling for me. I strive to be an honest, open and compassionate person in life and veterinary medicine.
Hello! I am a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine, and joined the FRVH team in November 2014. I grew up in Western Maryland, completed my undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and currently reside in Sykesville. Upon graduation from veterinary school, I completed a small animal internship at Dogs and Cats Veterinary Referral in Bowie. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Delta Chapter of the Society of Phi Zeta (Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine). My special veterinary interests include internal medicine, preventative and geriatric medicine, and client education. I am extremely committed to my patients and continually strive to give them the best medical care.
Outside of work, I enjoy boating, shopping for antiques, traveling, and spending time with my husband and two sons. I also love playing with our two dogs, Paige and Reedie (named after Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens).
Watch Dr. Flynn engaging with any species of animal, you know she was born to be a Veterinarian. She shares this attribute with her husband, whom she met at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where they both received their Veterinary Medicine Degrees in 2002. They are the very proud parents of two young children. This family of four has extended their hearts and home to numerous rescue animals – two dogs, one cat, two frogs and four lizards. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy Capitals games, dancing, scuba diving, world travel and they try to learn a new hobby each year.
Dr. Flynn comes to us from Virginia where she worked for 16 years at a small animal hospital having been especially loved by her clients and patients alike. Her wealth of knowledge and infectious smile puts them at ease, knowing their pets are in the hands of one of the best. Dr. Flynn was recognized by NOVA Magazine as one of the area’s “Top Vets” in 2017. Her career passions include preventative medicine, client education and soft tissue surgery.
Hello, I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over fifteen years and have been working in the Veterinary field since 1994. Following completing CCBC Essex’s Veterinary Technology program in 1999, I moved to Columbus, Ohio where I worked at a prominent veterinary specialty hospital in the Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology departments. Baltimore has always remained my home and where I plan to stay and grow my family.
I have been with FRVH since the beginning and have enjoyed being a part of our growing veterinary family and becoming part of the Catonsville community. Over the past few years, my focus has included taking on additional Practice Manager responsibilities while remaining heavily involved on the medical side as a technician. I am currently pursuing my certification to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager and am excited to take on additional challenges here at FRVH.
Even though I’ve been called the cat whisperer during my career, I equally enjoy caring for all animals. Providing your pets with high quality compassionate care and providing you with helpful information is what I’m most passionate about.
Hi there! I’m Heather, another one of the Registered Techs here at FRVH. I was originally a Nursing major during my first year of college until I realized that working with animals is what I am most passionate about! I graduated from CCBC Essex in the spring of 2011 with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology and passed my National Board Exam to obtain my license in August of 2011. I have been working in the veterinary field since 2008 and have been with Frederick Road since March of 2012. Professionally, I have a special interest in anesthesia and dentistry. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, the beach and of course spending time with my friends, family and furry “children”! I currently reside with my husband, Matt and our 3 kitties- Pickles, Monster, Barnacles and our handsome Golden Retriever, Buoy (pictured). Matt and I are avid boaters and love getting out on the water as much as possible! We really enjoy taking Buoy for boat rides and swimming as often as we can. I look forward to seeing you and caring for your fur babies very soon!
I have been an RVT for 20 years! I attended Essex Community College’s Veterinary Technician program. I have lived in and around Baltimore for my whole life. I have a 5 year old daughter, who occupies most of my free time. I’m hoping now that she is older, my husband and I can travel again. I love crafty things; especially making stained glass. We share our home with brother and sister cats, Rainbow and Briar Rose (yes, I let my daughter name them). My interests in veterinary medicine include dentistry, pain management, nursing, and client education.
Hello! I’m originally from California but have called Maryland home for over 15 years. I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 17 years but have been in the veterinary field for almost 20 years. I received my A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology from Yuba Community College in California. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner and two daughters. I am also an avid soccer player and enjoy DIY & craft projects. I have two Guinea Pigs (Apple & Harry) and a Ragamuffin cat named Sugs. I look forward to seeing you and your furry friends soon!
Hi, my name is Kristina. I was born and raised just outside of New York City and moved down to the Baltimore/DC area for my husband’s job. I previously worked at a large veterinary hospital in NYC for 4 years. I have 3 dogs; Brock – a black lab, Luke – a Golden Retriever, and Charlee – a Golden Retriever. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer and taking my dogs to the beach, where they spend their time fetching, swimming, and rolling in the sand. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and your furry family members!
Hi. I’ve been working in the veterinary field for about 12 years now. I started out as a non-registered technician, but have recently transitioned into the role of Receptionist & Surgical Coordinator with limited Technician Assistant duties.
I received my Master’s Degree from the University of Florida in Exercise & Sports Sciences/Athletic Training and have a particular interest in physical rehabilitation for our companion animals to benefit their quality of life.
I currently share my home with two dogs, three cats and six chickens. I also spend several days a week taking care of two horses. I feel very fortunate to be able to spend my days surrounded by people, both co-workers and pet parents, who share my passion and love for animals. I could not think of anything I would rather do than witness the bond between people and their furry family members every day.
Hi! My name is Karen. I am one of the receptionists here at FRVH. I have lived in the Baltimore and Catonsville area my entire life. I enjoy taking cruises for my vacations. I have several dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. My hobby is spending as much time with all my animals and my grandson as I can.
Hello! My name is Ruth and I was born and raised in London, England. I moved to America about 2 years ago when I married Kyle, a Southern Maryland native. Back in the UK I worked for a group of veterinary hospitals for 6 years and studied to be a Veterinary Nurse (as they are called across the pond). I also spent 4 years as a human Pharmacy Technician. I am incredibly excited to be back in the veterinary industry again- I feel I have returned home. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pets right now but my husband and I just moved to the area so hopefully we can get a kitty soon. In the mean time, I feel incredibly privileged to be able to care for and cuddle with all your wonderful cats and dogs.
Hi, I’m Ashley! I’ve been at FRVH for over 4 years. I have four dogs, Layla- a 9 year old Pit bull mix, Lilly- a 4 year old American Bully, Waylon – a 1 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and Doc Holliday – a 1 year old Great Dane. My hobbies outside of work include going on adventures with my fiancé and our dogs, training with my dogs, and dog showing. My favorite part about working at FRVH is educating our clients on providing the best multifaceted care to their pets, and continuing to educate myself on both the aspects of pet care within and outside of a veterinary hospital setting. I am a third generation CHS graduate, and a lifelong Catonsville resident – so I love running into so many familiar faces everyday at work!
Hello, my name is JJ. My passion for animals shows through in my work. I graduated from Catonsville High and attended Hillcrest Elementary, as well as, Catonsville Middle School. Catonsville is a loving town where people can come and feel welcome and at home and everyday I reflect our Catonsville spirit.
